COACHING PHILOSOPHY

Steve’s lessons offer personalised development, uniquely tailoring his instruction for the individual needs of players. He provides the framework for technical and skill development, along with structuring efficient practice in order to maximise improvement to player’s performances.

This has been sculpted by Steve’s desire to learn from many of the game’s leading instructors. His dedication to his and others continued development has seen his inclusion in ‘Today’s Golfer Top 50 Golf Teachers’ list as of 2020 and frequently has articles published in their magazine. ​

During lessons Steve implements his ethos of 'why guess when you can measure'. As a result each student is measured on TrackMan throughout their training. He also makes available KMotion 3D analysis, TPI fitness screening, on-course statistical analysis, skills testing, practice session logs, and much more, all stored on a personal CoachNow+ account for each of his clients. Ensuring a structured, measurable and enjoyable golf experience.

Steve strives to deliver information in a clear to understand manner, with the students development being the centre of everything he does.

COACHING EXPERIENCE

Steve has been a career PGA Golf Instructor since 2011 and has experience ranging from:

• Taught Shropshire & Herefordshire and Staffordshire county players (adult & juniors)

• Taught England and Welsh internationals

• Taught Aspiring touring professionals

Steve's experience as an Instructor had been developed over the years through working at some of the UK's leading golf facilities, including: 

• World of Golf, London (Europe's busiest practice facility)

• Forest of Arden G&CC (Championship Golf Course & host of British Masters and English Opens)

• 3 Hammers Golf Academy (National Award Winning for Player Development) 

• Steve Thomas Golf Academy - A Swing Performance Studio Based in North Staffordshire

During this time Steve has worked with thousands of players helping them to develop their game. These golfers range from those who have never picked up a golf club to playing professionals looking to break onto the major tours around Europe. This varied experience only helps to serve his clients as we strive to achieve their goals.
